HabitLog does not require an account, and the content of what you track — habit titles, notes, and check-in history — is stored only on your device and never uploaded. Separately, the app uses a small set of third-party services for anonymous usage analytics, advertising (free tier only), and subscription purchases, described below.
Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics): app opens, screens viewed, and feature usage such as "habit created" or "streak milestone reached." These events include structural metadata like category, frequency, and streak counts — never your habit titles, notes, or any text you write. Advertising data (via Google AdMob, free tier only — disabled entirely for Premium subscribers): standard ad SDK data such as your advertising identifier and ad interaction events, collected and processed under Google's own privacy policy. Purchase data (via RevenueCat, if you subscribe to Premium): your subscription status and purchase history, used to unlock premium features and process payments. We do not sell any data, and we do not link analytics or advertising data to your name, email, or habit content.
• Your habit titles, notes, or check-in content — this never leaves your device • Your name, email, or profile photo — stored locally, never uploaded (unless you use the Export feature yourself) • Precise location data
HabitLog uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy: • Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics • Google AdMob — advertising, shown only to free-tier users • RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management We recommend reviewing Google's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details on how they process data on their end. If you're in the EEA, UK, or another region where consent is required, you'll see a consent form the first time you open the app, letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising. You can change this choice anytime via Profile → Privacy Options (only shown where applicable).
The following data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage (encrypted by the operating system): • Your display name and profile photo • Habit configurations and check-in history • Reminder preferences • App theme preference This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using the operating system's notification APIs. No notification content is sent to or processed by any external server.
If you set a profile photo, the app requests read access to your photo library. The selected image is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or share your photos.
You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time from the Profile screen. You can permanently delete all data using "Reset everything & restart" in the Profile screen. Uninstalling the app also removes all stored data.
HabitLog is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us data, we will delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
